Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about file formats, download links, ratio sizes, or printing options? Find clear answers below, or get in touch directly.
How do I receive my digital files after ordering?
All designs on ThreadByteCreative are digital downloads. If you download a free design, you receive an immediate Google Drive download link for a high-resolution ZIP file. For paid items purchased on Etsy, Etsy automatically emails you a download link and stores the files in your Etsy account under 'Purchases and Reviews' immediately after checkout.
What resolution and file format are provided?
All our wall art files are supplied as ultra-high-resolution 300 DPI JPG files in RGB color mode. Sublimation graphics are supplied as 300 DPI transparent PNG files. Crochet patterns are delivered as formatted, printable PDF documents.
What are the 5 included aspect ratios?
Our wall art sets include files formatted for: 2:3 ratio (fits 4x6, 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36 in), 3:4 ratio (fits 6x8, 9x12, 12x16, 15x20, 18x24 in), 4:5 ratio (fits 8x10, 12x15, 16x20, 24x30 in), ISO A-series (fits A5, A4, A3, A2, A1), and 11x14 in.
Can I print these files at home?
Yes! Standard desktop color inkjet or laser printers can print sizes like 8x10 in, 8.5x11 in, or 5x7 in beautifully. For best results, use heavyweight matte photo paper or cardstock (200-300 GSM) and set your printer to 'High Quality' or 'Photo' mode.
Where can I get large poster prints printed locally?
For large prints (like 16x20, 18x24, or 24x36 in), you can upload the JPG file to Walgreens Photo, Staples, Office Depot, FedEx Office, Walmart Photo, or Costco Photo. For premium fine art giclée prints, online services like Mpix, Shutterfly, and Printful offer exceptional quality.
Can I use these designs for commercial products?
Free wall art downloads are licensed strictly for personal use (decorating your home, office, or gifting). Sublimation PNG designs purchased on Etsy include a small-business commercial crafting license (up to 100 physical products). Reselling, sharing, or redistributing the original digital files is strictly prohibited.
What should I do if I need a custom size or have trouble opening a file?
